The second consideration for Security in Pulse is “What can a User Do in Pulse?“
By this we mean, what Permission will a User have to use features and tools?
To allow control over these features and tools, Pulse has the concept of ‘User Permissions‘.
Example User Permissions:
There are over 100 different options that control each functional aspect of Pulse. Here are an example of the most common User Permissions:
- Create Project (Yes or No)
- Manage Projects (Yes or No)
- Upload Files (Yes or No)
- Create Tasks (Yes or No)
- Manage Users (Yes or No)
- Manage Finances (Yes or No)
- View Finances (Yes or No)
Permission Profiles
These Permissions are assigned to each User in the Address Book, within the User settings.
To simplify management of such a large number of User settings, we group the Permissions together in what we call ‘Permission Profiles‘.
